Notes:

Final Project grade was given a base score of 88 (good job!). Those that put in extra effort that was peer recognized received +5 and those whose score was below the average as rated by your peers received either -10 or -20. I also took your presentations into account. I am pleased with the overall project, but disappointed in the lack of communication and complete abandonment of software engineering principles.

Attendance/participation grade was largely influenced by being prepared and bringing your CPS device consistently to class. However, I did bump a few of you up on this score since, even though you consistently forgot your CPS device, you did a great job of participating in class. Overall, class participation was very good.

I did read everyone’s reviews for the pitches and GDDs. I was rather disappointed by a number of the comments you made to each other. Many of you were really just not very well informed yourselves to make meaningful comments. However, there were a few really good critiques.

Overall the final GDDs were very disappointing. I know that you can do better. As they stand, none are ready for GD&D Studio. However, some are much closer than others. If I do not get a set of complete GDDs before Studio, the teams may have a very limited choice.

Interestingly, when I went back to take a second and third look at the homeworks I found that many of them do not compile without a lot of work on a fresh machine.

Homework contribution weighted the Final GDD (you had all semester) more heavily than the rest and is why, for some of you, the homework score was lower than the homework contribution score.

Overall, I think we all learned something and you are mostly well-prepared for studio. Hacking will not cut it in Studio, so now is the time to become more disciplined in your coding practices.
